Page Plus Cellular Announces New International Service

HOLLAND, Ohio, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Prepaid cell phone service provider Page Plus Cellular has announced an expanded service feature that will allow its customers traveling in other countries to continue to use their Page Plus cell phones. The countries being added include Mexico, Canada, and the island territories of Bermuda, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. While Page Plus customers already have the ability to place calls to these countries from the U.S., they will now be able to place and receive voice calls and text messages while within them.

The international roaming rate for calls within Mexico and Bermuda is $1.10 per minute, and calls within Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are $.60 per minute. Calls originating in the United States to Puerto Rico will remain at the current $.12 per minute, and U.S. calls to Mexico and Canada will remain at $.34 per minute.

The text messaging rate for Page Plus customers within these countries is $.50 per message sent and $.25 per message received. The international text messaging rate for messages originating in the United States will remain $.20 per message.

The announcement of the expanded service follows the company's highly-publicized recent addition of two monthly voice/text/data plans, the $29.95 Talk n Text 1200 plan and $39.95 Unlimited Talk n Text plan. Consumers wishing to lower their monthly cell phone bill and control their budget have been switching to Page Plus Cellular's prepaid plans in order to save money compared to traditional post-paid service.

Page Plus Cellular is a prepaid cell phone service provider with nationwide coverage on one of the largest networks in the United States. Page Plus is consistently ranked among the top prepaid mobile providers for low rates and flexible plans. Page Plus cell phones and prepaid cellular plans are available through its large national network of dealers, and on its website at www.pagepluscellular.com.
