Another Visual WebGui-Enabled Business Tool
New On-line Secured Document Management Solution Provides Key to Better Business Organization

RIA Developer's Journal on Ulitzer

Visual WebGui, a platform for developing business and industry tools, announced a new application with the launch of E-grou's 5.0.

Visual WebGui has increasingly become the choice tool for developers creating corporate and management solutions for businesses of all sizes.  Its latest success was confirmed by E-grou, an online document management and workflow collaboration service. Since 5.0, E-grou has been providing a secure and configurable vault specific to individual user´s access rights. It enables control of document life cycle information, control of document versions, management of mail and email records, and participation in ad-hoc and structured workflows.

According to Visual WebGui CEO Navot Peled, "Consistent with all Visual WebGui-enabled applications, E-grou's new tool will service a vast range of companies seeking to enhance their internal organization. This will particularly be useful in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries, as well as with product design and development, and public or government administrations. Because of the varying needs of each business sector, Visual WebGui's versatility allows the vault to be easily configurable without requiring any additional programming. "

E-grou sought a solution designed for its customers who need to remotely but securely access documents, ensuring that each document is uploaded, downloaded, visualized, edited, and approved only by users with proper access rights to it. Furthermore, customers developing project-oriented activities, such as AEC companies, need to have access rights and users, refined per project.

Visual WebGui noted that it is often selected for use because of its abilities to cut down on costs, time, and training. Businesses understand that using a wrong document can be a costly error, and version control and traceability is a major concern. Moreover, industrial and business managers often need to have an approval system for proposals, purchasing orders, technical reports, and other such documents before sending them to customers and suppliers.

E-grou's CEO, José Santos, agreed that "Choosing VWG reduced significantly the development effort and skills required to create a windows-like web user interface."

Moreover, the ever-changing nature of businesses today mandates a solution that is flexible and adaptable to their information model needs, without the need for any programming effort and long deployment times, both leading to heavy expenditures costs and slow return on investment.

"With Visual WebGui, we ported our previous web client in just a couple of months with additional functionality, better performance, and looking much better from a graphics perspective," said Santos. He confirmed that using Visual WebGui enabled the development team to easily surpass the original application requirements of usability, performance, and security.

Additionally, the newest features available from Visual WebGui framework "will allow us to comply with our Customers GUI preferences. It not only enables our application, but gives users the ability to select a Macintosh, a Windows, or a Linux-like GUI for their web client," stated José Santos.
