Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Delivering Hypervisor Independent VDI, Windows Terminal Services, Published Applications and Remote PCs to any mobile or desktop device

DALLAS, November 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

2X Software, a global leader in Virtual Desktop and Application Delivery today announced 2X ApplicationServer XG is fully compatible with Microsoft RDP 8 RemoteFX, Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8.  Full RDP 8 RemoteFX features are supported when using the free 2X Client for Windows in Direct and Gateway Modes.

"2X Software are excited to use this new technology and are impressed by the quality, reliability and performance of RDP 8.  The Citrix ICA protocol no longer has such an advantage," said Nikolaos Makris, CEO, 2X Software.

2X ApplicationServer XG seamlessly delivers VDI, Windows Terminal Services (RDSH), published applications and remote PCs to any mobile or desktop device from a single platform, extending Windows Terminal Services by using a customized shell and virtual channel applications using the Microsoft RDP protocol.   With the improvements to RDP 8 RemoteFX, users will benefit from higher definition and improved multimedia video play back across the LAN or WAN.

Hypervisor Independent, 2X ApplicationServer XG supports Microsoft Hyper-V.  Additional features include powerful universal printing & scanning, integrated thin client management and high capacity resource based load balancing.

"With 2X ApplicationServer XG you can deploy a blended model based on user and cost requirements, delivering the best of VDI and Microsoft Terminal Services from a single platform," adds Makris, "2X simplifies desktop virtualization so administrators can take full advantage of the enhanced Virtualization features that Microsoft Windows Server 2012 has to offer for Private Cloud Computing."

The free 2X Client RDP/Remote Desktop allows users to take their Windows 8 desktops and applications with them wherever they go and connect to their work or home PC from any device, bringing together the best of the PC and the tablet.  Versions are available for Android, IOS, and BlackBerry.
