Lumenera(R) Corporation's New USB 3.0 High Performance Cameras Now Shipping
Delivering peak performance without compromising image quality or reliability

STUTTGART, GERMANY -- (Marketwire) -- 11/06/12 -- VISION 2012 - Lumenera Corporation, www.lumenera.com, a leading manufacturer and developer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for industrial, scientific and surveillance markets, today announced at VISION 2012 that its USB 3.0 CMOSIS sensor-based camera series is now shipping.

The Lt425 and Lt225 were created for speed using the latest USB 3.0 technology to ensure the fastest image delivery, up to 170 fps at maximum resolution. Image captures can be synchronized using either a hardware or software trigger and are complemented by 128 MB of onboard memory. Built-in memory buffer guarantees the delivery of images. Images are never lost due to competing requests on a host computer, as the images are temporarily held within the camera until the host computer is ready to receive them.

The compact, lightweight design of this camera, measuring 40 x 40 x 53 mm, ensures easy integration into tight spaces with 4 mounting points on all 4 sides. The fully locking USB 3.0 cabling and digital interface ensure a simple plug-and-play installation. No framegrabber is required. Simplified I/O cabling is provided through a locking Hirose connector supporting external power input along with 1 optically isolated output, 1 optically isolated input and 2 configurable I/O ports. The Lt225 and Lt425 camera series is offered in color or monochrome as well as NIR models.

"The built-in camera memory in the Lt camera series delivers a dependable, reliable flow of quality images, without exception." said Dany Longval, Director of Product Management at Lumenera Corporation. "This is very important for mission critical applications such as transportation, high-speed inspection and motion capture."

Live demonstrations are available at the VISION 2012 tradeshow from November 6 to 8, 2012 in Stuttgart, Germany, Hall 1, booth C42. Contact Lumenera at info@lumenera.com to schedule a viewing, or visit their website at www.lumenera.com for additional information.
