Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Elemica Selected as 2012 Green Supply Chain Award Recipient With Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine
2nd Consecutive Win of Prestigious S&DCE Supply Chain Award for Elemica

EXTON, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/12/12 -- Elemica, the leading provider of supply chain integration and optimization solutions, announces winning a 2012 Green Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive for the 2nd consecutive year. Elemica was chosen for its focus on helping customers improve and achieve their measurable sustainability goals through the automation of manual processes that reduce their usage of paper, which saves trees and other resources. Elemica is also instrumental in helping clients decrease their spend on fuel through optimized shipments.

"Elemica enables companies to gain a greater competitive advantage by replacing costly manual approaches with innovative capabilities and systems that streamline operations and boost efficiencies," said Rich Katz, CTO of Elemica. "We are honored to be selected once again for this prestigious supply chain award. We remain committed to helping companies implement 'green' best practices, such as electronic purchasing and sourcing, transportation optimization, and shipment visibility that lowers costs while driving sustainability."

Elemica is a leading provider of cloud-based supply chain integration solutions, enabling customers in the chemical and tire & rubber industries to collaborate with their trading partners to procure, sell, and distribute their products more efficiently and more reliably. Automating paper-based processes allows Elemica customers to realize savings within their operations while meeting their sustainability goals.

SDCE's Green Supply Chain Awards recognize small, mid-size and large enterprises that have leveraged a variety of sustainable approaches -- including technology, strategies and solutions -- that companies are employing, and spotlights concrete results that many of these leaders witness due to their sustainable efforts. Supply & Demand Chain Executive editorial staff reviews the submissions and select winners based on the clarity and content of the goals and strategy, the extent of the steps being taken, and the impact of the results to date, as well as projected results. The full listing of the 2012 Top 100 Green Supply Chain Award Winners is available in the November/December 2012 issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine and on the web at SDCExec.com.
