SANTIAGO, CHILE -- (Marketwire) -- 11/13/12 -- CaroTrans, a leading global NVOCC (non vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, today announced four new LCL (less than container load), direct services from China including Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong to Valparaiso, Chile. Reliable, secure consolidation and deconsolidation services are provided by CaroTrans' dedicated local offices. CaroTrans established a wholly owned and operated office in Santiago, Chile in 2011 to strengthen its global infrastructure and support significant trade growth in South America. In China, CaroTrans delivers dependable, customer-focused service and support from seven, local CaroTrans offices in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, and Xiamen.

In addition to the four new China import services, CaroTrans delivers a broad range of LCL and FCL (full container load) import and export services to and from Chile and CaroTrans' extensive U.S. service network. Over the last year, CaroTrans' Chile - U.S. import and export transactions grew by 10%. CaroTrans' West Coast South America service portfolio links Chile with Callao, Guayaquil, and Buenaventura.
