Diabetes Management Provider ActiveCare Announces Cost Savings Of Over $4,000 Per Year Per Diabetic Member
ActiveCare's Diabetes Management System has reduced diabetic claims for a key partner by 32%, from $14,970 to $10,052 per year.

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ActiveCare, Inc. (OTC.BB: ACAR), the service leader in disease and diabetes management solutions, announced a dramatic decrease in diabetic claims in the first twelve months of its relationship with Caprock HealthPlans. ActiveCare's revolutionary health monitoring and information technology combined with a dedicated staff of care specialists has lead to a healthier Caprock. By collecting real-time biometric readings ActiveCare is able to interpret the readings and communicate with the plan members, caregivers, physicians, diabetes management and wellness coordinators within minutes of a blood glucose test. "ActiveCare has made an immediate impact on the programs we are able to offer our plan members. Monitoring and care services have enabled us to better meet the needs of our members and lower the cost of care," stated David M. Adams, president of Caprock. "This savings is a great platform for us to continue to grow our relationship with ActiveCare by allowing us to expand this service to all of our current customers."

As a result of the rapid adoption of its revolutionary Diabetes Management System during the past six months ActiveCare has grown from 661 to more than 6,000 program members. "Many organizations aspire to 'deliver better care at a lower cost.' We actually do it," notes Michael Jones, Chief Operating Officer of ActiveCare. "By combining real-time monitoring of blood glucose levels with analysis of individuals' previous care, we are able to guide plan members as they proactively treat their disease. The result is better care and a reduction of diabetes-related claims by $4,000 per year." The Company is projecting to add an additional 8,000 new members by the end of the year.
