Similar is the case with managed multi Cloud hosting. You can very well understand how a big burden it would be to manage multi cloud servers for organization; this is why a service known as managed multi Cloud is provided to these users. This service ensures them the seam less running of their system administrative operations while organizations focus more on t...

EnBW Delays Wind Farm "Hohe See", Windreich AG Benefits With Higher Yields From Wind Farm "Global Tech I"

WOLFSCHLUGEN, Germany, November 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

  • EnBW facing difficulties with the grid connection of wind farm "Hohe See"
  • Delays lead to higher returns due to avoidance of wind shadowing effects

Windreich AG's professional project planning is now paying off even further. Wind shadowing effects stemming from the wind farm "Hohe See" belonging to Energie Baden-Württemberg (EnBW) that would affect the wind farm "Global Tech I" (GT I) are absent; wind flow remains laminary and reaches GT I wind turbines unabated. With their GT I project, Windreich AG are about to start generating power for the first time by spring 2013. The wind farm is slated for maximum output by the end of 2013. This is the second positive announcement about GT I during the last two weeks. On 6/11/2012, Handelsblatt reported about the early grid connection of Global Tech I. It can now be considered proven that GT I rightfully ranks first in the list of the best offshore wind farms. Two other Windreich projects, "MEG I" and "Deutsche Bucht", also ranked among the Top Ten.

The EnBW wind farm "Hohe See" with its 500 MW was to be constructed 90 km off Cuxhaven. The giant wind turbines would be partially located within the prevailing wind direction of GT I. However, wind shading effects and therefore lower profits were included in the calculations that served as the basis for the financing of GT I. Due to construction delays of the EnBW wind farm amounting to several years, the absence of wind shading effects causes a 4% increase in return for GT I. Projected electricity sales of €330 million a year will increase by approximately €13 million.

As learned from the test wind farm "Alpha Ventus" that uses the same turbine type, GT I is base-loadable with over 4,500 full load hours and reaches a nominal output of 400 MW with 80 AREVA wind turbines in the 5 MW class. As of the end of 2013, the first Windreich offshore wind farm would provide clean and reliable power for 1 million people while saving 1.5 million tonnes of CO2.

Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. (FH) Willi Balz, founder and sole shareholder of Windreich AG, comments the changed conditions in a differentiated manner: "The construction halts regularly announced by our competitors are bad for the industry. However, Windreich again prove that with precise and provident planning, offshore wind farms can be safely constructed in deep waters and far off the coast where wind conditions are ideal.

Our recipe for success: Begin earlier than others, work faster and more accurately to secure reliable and high

profits! This is how the energy transition works."
