Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Frontier Communications Offers Satellite Broadband to Washington State

Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR), the largest provider of communications services focused on rural America, today announced that Frontier Satellite Broadband is available in a number of rural markets in northwest Washington state. This satellite-based broadband service, Frontier Broadband, will deliver dramatically increased speed and capacity to several hundred thousand households and small businesses within markets previously unserved or underserved by any broadband provider, including cable.

Frontier Broadband products are supported by highly-trained, 100 percent U.S.-based local installation, customer service and support teams. According to Rich Klena, Frontier Senior Vice President and General Manager for Oregon and Washington, “We are extremely pleased to bring broadband service to very remote customers in Frontier’s serving areas of western Washington. This new service allows rural America to increase commerce, provide distance learning, health care access, provide streaming video, entertainment programs and general high speed internet access- and is a real game-changer for those hard-to-reach communities we serve.”

Frontier Broadband leverages the Hughes EchoStar XVII Satellite with JUPITER™ High-Throughput Technology that was successfully launched on July 5, 2012, and which enables HughesNet Gen4 satellite Internet services for Frontier Broadband customers. HughesNet Gen4 offers dramatically increased performance and capacity, including support for high-bandwidth applications.

Frontier Broadband pricing ranges from $52.00 to $145.48 per month depending on personal speed requirements, contract plans and the need for any additional equipment. Rich Klena went on to say, “This product shows Frontier’s commitment to bringing broadband to our customers, including those in some of the most remote rural areas of the nation. Broadband is a necessity that enhances every aspect of life. Frontier Broadband is the most recent example of our broadband expansion plan. We continue to look for new ways to bring broadband to as many customers as we can; it is our commitment to our customers.”
