Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

California's Premier Organization for Water Industry Leaders to Participate in National Conference

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., Nov. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Water leaders from across the state who are members of the California Utility Executive Management Association will take part in the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) conference in San Diego on December 4-6.

Members of this premier non-profit organization include general managers, public works directors, executive staff, industry consultants and other water industry leaders. They will participate in ACWA's 2012 fall conference and exhibition, "California Water...The Next Generation," at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to get the latest information on topics facing the state's water industry and garner insight on how each of our members are impacted," said John Rossi, president of CUEMA and general manager at Western Municipal Water District in Riverside.

ACWA's members represent districts supplying 90 percent of the water delivered in the state.  The conference brings more than 1500 water industry professionals together each year.

"That makes this conference one of the best forums for connecting with other water leaders and finding solutions to the concerns all of us face," Rossi said.  "Our organization's strength is its members, and ACWA offers us a great opportunity to gather together and build on our industry relationships."

Information about CUEMA will be available at its booth in space #705 in the exhibition hall and at the Welcome Reception on Tuesday, December 4th from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Founded in 2010, CUEMA is known for providing a supportive, industry-building network that bolsters productivity and strengthens leadership among special districts, municipalities, other government entities and our corporate partners.

"CUEMA's member benefits are numerous," said Rick Gilmore, the group's vice president and general manager of the Byron Bethany Irrigation District in Byron.

"One of the most valuable tools I've found is the sharing of ideas at our leadership summits and information on best practices that is available to members," Gilmore said.

About the California Utility Executives Management Association:

CUEMA is nonprofit organization formed in 2010 to enhance, develop and educate the professional executives of the California water utility industry. The association's resources, designed by water industry leaders for water industry leaders, include continuing education, career counseling, and conferences focused on identifying the future model for water industry management through a collaborative approach.  Visit www.cuema.org for more information.
