2013 Gator Bowl Brings Fans, Football and Fun to Amelia Island

AMELIA ISLAND, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 12/06/12 -- On January 1, 2013, fans of Northwestern University and Mississippi State University will travel to northeast Florida to celebrate the New Year at the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl at Jacksonville Everbank Field. Several Amelia Island hotels are offering specials for the Gator Bowl:

Amelia Hotel at the Beach is offering a Gator Bowl Special of $89 per night for two nights. The offer includes a "Healthy Breakfast" each morning. Guests should call (877) 263-5428 to book.

Amelia Island Hampton Inn at the Beach is offering fans who reserve three nights (December 29 through 31) rates starting at $99 per night or four nights starting at $89 per night. Stays include breakfast buffet. Book before December 15 to receive a $50 gift card to Slider's Seaside Grill.

At ERA Fernandina Beach Realty guests who buy two nights get a third night free and those staying only two nights receive 20 percent off their stay. The offer is valid on selected units December 29 through January 1. Rates start at $165 per night.

Residence Inn, Amelia Island is offering guests who book their Gator Bowl reservation before December 15 a complimentary bottle of champagne for two, $25 Dining Voucher and party favors. The property also offers guests a "Bowl Day Party Time" on December 29, with popcorn, a pulled pork bar, drinks and more. On New Year's Eve, the property offers champagne served in the lobby.

Summer Beach Resort is offering fans a free third night when they pay for two in select two-bedroom units during New Year's Weekend.
