Prestige Care, Inc. begins operating six additional Northwest senior care communities

VANCOUVER, Wash., Jan. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Washington-based senior care provider Prestige Care, Inc. today announced it has begun operating six senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in Washington and Oregon, broadening the company's reach across the Northwest.

The new care centers include three assisted living communities and three skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers.  Prestige commenced operations on Nov. 1, 2012.

The skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers located in Washington are Puyallup Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Renton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In addition to these communities, Brighton Court in Spokane Valley is the newest assisted living community in Washington to join the Prestige family.

In Oregon, Fox Hollow Residential Care Community in Eugene and Spruce Point Assisted Living and Memory Care Community in Florence will also be operated by Prestige Care. The owners of the six facilities have a long association with Prestige Care.

"We are very pleased to have Prestige Care operating these communities," said Gene Hand, co-owner. "Their professionalism and dedication to the highest level of care for our residents make them a perfect partner for us."

Prestige has already begun introducing its continuum of care, including a comprehensive rehabilitation program and other lifestyle-centered services in each of the new communities and rehabilitation centers, as part of the seamless transition to new management.

At Brighton Court and Spruce Point, Prestige will offer its award-winning Expressions memory care program for senior residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other causes of dementia.  Using innovative care techniques and life-enrichment programming, Expressions provides people living dementia an outlet for creativity through arts, learning, and spirituality by turning daily activities into meaningful events.

Along with a robust care continuum ranging from independent living services to clinical expertise, Prestige brings a philosophy rooted in a set of shared core values that delivers on a promise to provide unmatched quality care, led by a compassionate heart.  Across the company Prestige team members strive to personally touch lives, guided by the four pillars of the company's core values: respect, integrity, commitment, and trust.

"As we grow, it's an honor to welcome new community members, residents, families and staff to our Prestige family," said Harold Delamarter, president and CEO of Prestige Care. "Our values-driven approach is truly at the center of everything we do.  I know I speak for everyone across the company in sharing our joy to serve our communities with quality care from a compassionate heart."

Prestige Care was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Wash.  With this acquisition, it now operates more than 70 senior living communities and skilled nursing care centers throughout the Western United States.
