Univision Announces Partnership with Samsung to Carry UVideos Digital Network on Smart TVs and Connected Devices

Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, announced a partnership deal with Samsung that will make UVideos, the first bilingual digital video network, available on all 2013 Samsung Smart TVs, connected Blu-ray players and home theater systems. Beginning this spring, users of select Samsung devices will be able to access the best in Hispanic programming via the UVideos application – the first Hispanic focused entertainment app available on the Samsung platform.

“By partnering with Samsung, the leading Smart TV manufacturer in the U.S., we are ensuring our viewers can enjoy the UVideos experience on their favorite connected devices,” said Kevin Conroy, president, Univision Interactive and Enterprise Development. “This is another example of Univision delivering on our commitment to offer the best in Hispanic programming on the devices most important to them, whenever and wherever they want it.”

UVideos allows viewers access to the best Univision content, with thousands of hours of daytime, primetime, entertainment, sports and news programming available. UVideos on Samsung Smart TVs and connected devices also allows viewers to enjoy the unique experience in both Spanish and English. The experience on Samsung will also bring the unique UVideos time synched social stream feature to life. This unique element allows viewers to interact and engage with social conversations taking place between their friends, Univision talent and others around the world. The UVideos application will be pre-installed in Samsung’s personalized app section and also available in the S-Suggest store for Samsung WiFi tablets.

UVideos can also be accessed on UVideos.com, Xbox LIVE Gold, Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD, and via iOS and Android mobile apps.
