Trimac announces new business award with Holcim (Canada) Inc.

CALGARY, Jan. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Trimac Transportation Ltd. ("Trimac") (TSX: TMA), Canada's premier provider of bulk trucking, logistics, tank repair and cleaning services, announced today that it has been awarded a new contract to haul a significant volume of product for Holcim (Canada) Inc. The award includes Holcim's current Atlantic Canada business covering Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland. The contract is expected to generate in excess of $15 million in revenue over the initial 3 year term of the contract.

Ed Malysa, Trimac's President and COO, said "the addition of this business further solidifies our relationship with Holcim Canada and enhances Trimac's market share of the bulk trucking sector in Atlantic Canada.  This opportunity will strengthen our capabilities to service all our customers across Eastern Canada."

Holcim (Canada) Inc. is one of the country's largest vertically integrated building materials and construction companies.  Holcim manufactures cement, aggregates and ready-mix concrete and provides construction services to many of Canada's largest infrastructure projects. Holcim Canada is a member of Holcim Group, a Swiss-based multinational with operations in more than 70 countries worldwide.

About Trimac: Trimac is Canada's largest provider of bulk trucking services with operations from coast to coast.  In addition, through its National Tank Services division, Trimac performs repairs, maintenance and tank-trailer cleaning services for both the Trimac fleet and for third party commercial customers. Trimac also provides third party transportation logistics services in Canada and the United States through its wholly owned subsidiary Bulk Plus Logistics.

Forward-Looking Statements:
This press release contains information and statements of a forward-looking nature concerning the value of the Holcim contract to Trimac. These statements are based on suppositions and uncertainties as well as on management's best possible evaluation of future events. In making such statements, Trimac has assumed that the Canadian economy will continue to strengthen and that the volume of products hauled and miles driven by Trimac for Holcim will be consistent with current estimates.
