New SeniorCheQ Service Improves Caring for the Elderly

SeniorCheQ.com is a new product now available to those caring for the elderly, those with Alzheimer’s, or individuals that become disoriented easily. The new SeniorCheQ service provides a wristband with a QR code for the elderly to wear. Caregivers establish an online account linked to the wristband, which includes information such the caregiver’s phone number, e-mail address, and a photograph of the elderly individual under their care.

Should the elderly individual become lost or disoriented, anyone with a smartphone can scan the QR code on the individual’s SeniorCheQ wristband, which automatically sends an e-mail or text message to the caregiver. If GPS is enabled on the scanner’s smartphone, the notification to the caregiver also includes a map link to the location where the QR code was scanned. People without immediate access to the Internet can notify the care provider by calling the SeniorCheQ Notification System.

The development of this easy-to-use service was led by the growing interest in QR codes and the need to implement an effective and affordable service for those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The term QR code stands for “Quick Response” code. A QR code is a barcode that is readable by QR scanners, mobile phones with a camera, and smartphones. The barcode can store website URL’s, text, contact details, Google Map locations, and much more.

For more information on SeniorCheQ, visit http://www.seniorcheq.com.

About SeniorCheQ

SeniorCheQ is a Lost & Find Me service that is designed uniquely for care providers and those responsible for elder care. Through the use of QR code technology and scanning, the service increases emergency response time by providing the elder’s accurate medical information, and notifies the care provider of their location.

About Lost & Find Me

Lost & Find Me (https://www.lostandfindme.com) is a combination product and service that enables individuals to provide important information to identify the location of people, pets, and valuable items. Through the use of QR code tags and scanning, alert notifications automatically send a text message and/or email to the owners when Lost & Find Me tags are scanned.

When we think of application performance problems that are network-related, we often immediately think of bandwidth and congestion as likely culprits; faster speeds and less traffic will solve everything, right? This is reminiscent of recent ISP wars; which is better, DSL or cabl...
As a network professional, one of your newer roles is likely troubleshooting poor application performance. For most of us, our jobs have advanced beyond network “health,” towards sharing – if not owning – responsibility for application delivery. There are many reasons for this mo...
