VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/31/13 -- VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) ("VMS" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has now awarded a drilling contract to Westcore Drilling from Salmo, British Columbia for the 2013 winter drill program, which is scheduled to begin on February 6, 2013.

This program targets VMS' 100% owned exploration properties throughout the Flin Flon - Snow Lake greenstone belt. The Company expects to test between 16 and 20 targets over the next three months.

Drilling will begin on the Reed East project, situated approximately 8 kilometers northeast of the Reed Copper project. The program will initially focus on targets below the Paleozoic cover before moving north to the Sails Lake and Sails East projects.
