I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

High 5 Games Named Best Manufacturer of 2013 at ICE Totally Gaming Awards
H5G Recognized in Award Ceremony's Most Competitive Category

NEW YORK, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- High 5 Games was named Best Manufacturer of the Year at the 2013 Totally Gaming Awards in London this past week, an accolade which reaffirms the company's status as a premier casino game creator.

Held in conjunction with ICE, the largest and most comprehensive gaming event of the year, the Totally Gaming Awards aim to recognize companies that promote best practices and innovation within their respective fields. In 2012, no company exemplified the spirit of the awards more than High 5 Games, which beat out eight other companies – the most finalists in any single category of the award ceremony – to win the recognition of 'Best Manufacturer of the Year.'

"We're honored and humbled that the Totally Gaming Awards recognized High 5 Games for this award," said Anthony Singer, CEO of High 5 Games. "High 5 Games has been able to deliver high-quality content all over the world thanks to our very talented team of professionals. We are very proud to see their efforts and achievements recognized."

The 'Best Manufacturer' category included nine distinguished manufacturers as finalists, including International Game Technology, Spielo International, and Casino Technology.

In 2012, H5G released nearly 75 games to land-based, online, and social markets. The company also debuted High 5 Casino on Facebook, which quickly welcomed more than 1.5 million players in just a few short months to become the fastest growing virtual casino on Facebook.

"High 5 Games has had quite a year with our noted social success. It has been a pleasure to bring our proven land-based brands directly to players in an effort to promote those games for our casino partners," said Med Nadooshan, COO of High 5 Games. "While we're pleased with what we have accomplished so far, we also recognize that the best has yet to come for High 5 Games."

This past year, High 5 Games announced major distribution deals with some of the industry's most reputable gaming distributors, including Bally Technologies, IGT, and Playtech. The company will continue to examine and pursue additional and independent partnerships to ensure that its content is enjoyed by as many players as possible. H5G games are currently available in casinos in 50 countries and on six continents, while people from more than 150 countries play the games on Facebook.

"This award will only provide our team with more inspiration and determination for 2013," said Singer, who was also recognized last week as a member of Gaming Intelligence's prestigious 'Hot 50' for his contributions to the internet gaming industry. "We're very excited about our games in production, and we are very excited about the future of High 5 Games."
