DonRiver Develops Platform to Enable Mobile OSS Support and Capabilities, Announces Expansion into Europe

DonRiver, a global consulting and technology company announced today it has developed a mobile Operational Support System (OSS) integration platform to deliver OSS capabilities to mobile smart-tablets and devices. The platform, aimed at assisting Telco’s operate in a smarter and more efficient manner, was originally targeted to support field technicians complete work orders; however, client and industry feedback identified several other use cases – for example, asset and audit management, site surveying and direct access to key systems within the OSS ecosystem.

The platform, known as My Mobile OSS, provides a modern way to access and manipulate data from systems that are currently ill-suited to emerging mobile applications, for instance, network and resource inventory data. My Mobile OSS was built using the latest web and mobile technologies and supports read, write and delete functions from an OSS. In addition, the platform can support both HTML 5 and iPad native functionality. Today, the platform supports all data within the Amdocs Resource Manager product.

“Industry reports continually assert if companies have not at least started to adopt a mobile strategy to support their business, they’re already behind schedule. Given the continuous advancements in the industry, we firmly believe Telco’s must develop innovative mobile solutions which include solutions for critical back office OSSs,” says John McVey, Global Managing Director.

The platform can support numerous business processes that can enable field technicians, sales staff, trouble ticketing managers, OSS GMs/Directors, etc. with a faster, smarter and more convenient mobile channel to perform their job functions. “Our client’s eyes light up when we show them how this platform can be used to access work orders, activate a service or search network and service inventory from the field while also leveraging functionality such as bar code scanning, GPS and other features available with smart tablets,” says McVey.

DonRiver My Mobile OSS and the DonRiver Network Inventory & Resource Management Platform will be showcased at the 2013 GSMA Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Spain from February 25th – 28th. DonRiver’s booth is located in Hall 7, stand 7C52.

In addition, the company announced they’ve opened a European office to expand operations and grow their European client base. The Company’s presence will be based in the United Kingdom.
