Clyde Seymour Joins Ryan as Principal; Will Support Continued Expansion of International Tax Practice and Extend Income Tax Capabilities in Canada.

DALLAS, Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect tax practice in North America, today announced that Clyde Seymour has joined the management team as a Principal to support the continued growth of the Firm's International Tax practice in Canada. Mr. Seymour will be based in Ryan's Toronto, Ontario office and joins an International Tax management team in the United States and Europe, which is leading the Firm's continued market penetration into more than 50 countries across the world. Mr. Seymour will extend Ryan's income tax capabilities in Canada, while providing global companies a comprehensive suite of international tax services, including income tax, value-added tax, global transfer pricing, valuation, and customs services.

Mr. Seymour has more than 20 years of international tax experience in both the public and private sectors, managing issues across multiple industries for mid-market companies and Fortune 500 multinational corporations. He has proven expertise in strategic tax planning, cross-border issues and hybrid structures, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and trust holding structures, transfer pricing, scientific research and experimental development, accounting for income taxes, corporate tax compliance, expatriate personal taxation, and Sarbanes-Oxley internal control certification. Prior to joining Ryan, he was the Canadian Tax Practice Leader for a major financial consulting firm and held leadership positions for a public real estate investment trust (REIT) and a national accounting firm. Mr. Seymour also volunteers as treasurer for one of Canada's largest minor hockey associations. Mr. Seymour holds a Bachelor in Accounting degree and a Master of Accounting degree, with a specialization in tax, from the University of Waterloo and is a Canadian Chartered Accountant.
