Dont underestimate the SLA's role in accountability. For companies that have dynamic requirements and no down time can be afforded, make sure you have very tight SLAs. For example, OpSource provides a 100% SLA in the cloud and 100%SLA around production application environments. Now 100% is ideally perfect, it comes down to accountability, yo...

Landscape Architecture Magazine Goes Digital

Landscape Architecture, the magazine of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), introduced its digital format online today with the April issue. Zinio.com, a global online publishing and distribution company, began offering the magazine on its site for annual subscription or single-copy purchase.

Digital issues of Landscape Architecture will be searchable and search-engine-optimized, increasing the magazine’s usefulness for research and archiving. Interactive and multi-media capabilities will also be embedded in the digital issues, allowing readers to link directly to related online information.

Landscape Architecture magazine was founded in 1910, and as we near the 100th anniversary, its online presence brings it fully into the 21st century,” said J. William “Bill” Thompson, FASLA, editor of the magazine. “I know this will make the important information in its pages available in a more interactive way.”

In celebration of National Landscape Architecture Month, the April Issue is available free by clicking here (http://www.zinio.com/express3?issue=399537181&o=ext). Digital subscriptions may be purchased for $44.25 per year and single issues may be purchased for $5.25 each, 25 percent off the newsstand price. Current ASLA members and magazine subscribers may choose to receive the magazine in digital format when it is time to renew their membership or subscription. In addition, Zinio will archive past issues of Landscape Architecture going back to May 2006 and to offer them for single-copy purchase.

Landscape Architecture will be featured under both the Home and Garden and the Trade Magazines categories on the Zinio web site, increasing the visibility of the magazine—and the landscape architecture profession—to prospective readers.
